Pure London Review (February 2024)

This year's Pure London Fashion show was truly something. Every outfit had a story and every small designer was filled with untapped potential to be simply phenomenal. What I witnessed at this show was eye opening and is very likely to change the future of fashion as we know it. For those of you who do not know Pure London, they host an event twice a year where small or brand new fashion designers are able to set up a stall with their products and advertise their merchandise.

Some even give some of their products to wear on the catwalk, so if you know someone who is thinking of starting up their own line then I absolutely recommend this because it is a great way to network for designers and fashion lovers alike.

As someone who just enjoys fashion very much I found that this event had a lot to offer. Starting with their fashion predictions for this year, they believe that there will be two types of fashionable looks for women that will carry through. We have seen through social media, the rise of the coquet girl and the mob wife.

The fashion experts of Pure London believe this to be the year of the woman. After the film Barbie, coquet was introduced as a very pink fashion with a lot of bows and elegance. On the opposite end of the spectrum, there is mob wife which is exactly as it sounds. Think of what a mob wife would wear and that is the fashion. It is elegance and brutality, a female warrior in her finest possessions. Think of diamonds, wine and big fur coats. These are the fashion trends that Pure London believe will carry through this year. The fashion show itself even showed this prediction through the flouncy feminine dresses and the harsh, artistic attire.
