Resume

I hope you enjoyed my portfolio! My name is Jaanvi and I have just completed my Masters degree in International Journalism. I previously did an undergraduate degree in International Journalism and chose to continue it as a postgraduate degree because of my passion for writing. I have always enjoyed writing, whether it was for general work in English class at school or writing my own short stories. The Hillingdon Herald gave me the opportunity to explore journalistic writing, where I truly understood that my passion for writing lied with Features. This portfolio explores the many different styles of writing I have done for the The Hillingdon Herald's newspaper. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there and it made me more confident in myself as a journalist. Being Features Editor has offered me so many avenues for different skill sets like being a movie critique, a general features writer, fashion journalist, and using InDesign. Throughout this portfolio, these skills are presented and have expanded my resume. I hope to expand my skillset more so through other avenues of writing.

This portfolio also looks at my own personal enthusiasm for photography. I have been doing amateur photography since I was a young teenager and continue it even now on my travels and at fashion shows. Writing and photography combined are skills that I specialise in as a journalist and I aim to use them to improve myself as a journalist in the future.
