Water connects all things, life to death, darkness to light. And with it we find ourselves with the movie we have all been waiting for. Since the 2009 Avatar came out and blew us away with a unique and incredible storyline, the eagerly awaited second Avatar has finally been released and it does not disappoint. Get ready to dive back into the world of Pandora and soar through the skies and sea.

Before watching the movie, I was very intrigued as to how Avatar would continue. The trailer is action packed and introduces new, younger characters in the water. But I wondered how this movie would be different from the original. The storyline in the first Avatar was the Sky people attacking Pandora for the large mine of a material called unobtanium which was directly beneath the home tree that the Omaticaya clan were ready to die protecting. Ultimately, it was a love story between Jake Sully (a sky person) and Neytiri (the Omaticaya clan leader's daughter). The best part about the first Avatar was that there is nothing like it. There are no pop culture references to this movie, no memes or anything but it still made the highest grossing movie of all time. So naturally,  Avatar: The Way of Water had a lot to live up to. Dear readers, I must tell you that this movie was better than the first.

The Way of Water is all about family and connecting to all living things. It’s much more heartfelt and the visuals are truly beautiful. The visuals of course would be 1000x better than the first movie due to technology getting better over time. But even without that, the story line is magical and stunning. An incredible cinematic experience. Watching the characters we love raise a family together is really something. We get to see the family grow as they adopt Kiri and Spider (a human boy) as a part of their little group. Uprooting from the Omaticaya clan to a water tribe for safety is fantastic to watch as each character interacts with the water tribe who are so different from them, including their appearances.

One thing I will say is the movie is 3 hours long and most of the time it doesn't even feel like it. However, the ending does go on a little bit. Despite this, every second of the movie is worth it .

The way of water has no beginning and no end so connect to Eywa (or your local cinema) and watch this movie as soon as you can. You won’t regret it.
